Aloha world

Welcome to The Bittersweet Apple.
I've had a lot of thoughts about starting a blog, it comes from my personal love for easthetics, litrature, music, history and the mystirious forests my mind seem to wonder to.
The Lady of Shalott, 1888 by the wonderful John Wiliam Waterhouse.
Taken from THIS website.
The fairytale-story of The Lady of Shalott is about a girl who lived by the river nearby the castle Camelot (yes, Camelot, not Spamalot). This lovely lady lived in a grey four walled tower, and therought the window she could see the people passing by on their way to the castle. However, on day she saw knight Lancelot riding through the beautiful green field and you could guess what happened next.
The art piece was inspired by the tragic poem 'The Lady of Shalott', surprisingly, by Alfred Tennyson. You can red the poem HERE.
With love, OpiumRapunzel
